Tannensee

The Tannensee is to the east of the Melchsee with its dam wall facing the Melchsee. This lake is located in a rather flat valley, and almost on the saddle to the Gental valley. There is a road leading along the northern shore which serves as an access road from Melchsee-Frutt to Tannalp.

Fishing at the Tannensee

The Tannensee is very popular with fishermen. There are six different types of trout and char in this beautiful mountain lake. In the frozen lake in winter ice fishing is possible.

Barbecue sites at the Tannensee

There are spacious barbecue areas at the Tannendamm dam and on the eastern shore. Dry wood and grates are available – providing barbecue fun for the whole family.

Fruttli train

The Fruttli train travels between Melchsee-Frutt and Tannalp. There are two stops at the Tannensee: Tannendamm and Feuerstelle.

Hiking

There are signposted walking and hiking trails along the Tannensee. The hiking trails are accessible with a stroller.
